About Me

I’m a 27-year-old stay at home mum to my beautiful and cheeky 3-year-old daughter. We live in Wainui with our nearly 4-year-old pink Galah parrot, Gracie, who often makes it feel like I have two children!

We regularly attend and participate in two Playcentres, Wood Hatton and Days Bay. Through being involved in these groups, meeting new people and building strong connections within the community, I’ve had the opportunity to help care for and look after a variety of children. These experiences inspired me to pursue this further by enrolling into my ECE studies and working towards becoming an in-home educator, while still being a full-time mum.

My Philosophy

I believe every child has the right to feel loved, safe and valued in an environment where they can learn and grow with confidence. I strive to create a warm, caring and supportive space where children feel secure enough to explore, express themselves and develop at their own pace. I am a hands-on person who enjoys engaging alongside my daughter and other children during activities, encouraging curiosity, exploration and child-led learning. I believe children learn best through play and meaningful experiences that allow them to discover their own interests and strengths. Every child is different and unique in their own way and providing a wide variety of activities and learning opportunities, I think is important as well, to cater to all individual needs and abilities for children of all ages. By supporting each child’s uniqueness, I aim to help them build confidence, independence, creativity and positive relationships with others.

My Environment

I have a spacious living and play area, with a fenced-off front yard and a trampoline.
We enjoy attending Wood Hatton and Days Bay Play Centre and taking walks at the Gums Loop and feeding the ducks.
Outings e.g. - library, Zoo, Capital E, Parks and child friendly events including events through Tiny Nation
As well as getting out and about, we also have time at home, whether it's doing some messy play on the front lawn or having some afternoon downtime, chilling and reading a book  together.

My Training

I am currently enrolled and studying towards my ECE Level 5
