About Me

Kia ora whānau,
My name is Audrey, and I am a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. I hold a Master of Education from the University of Auckland and have taught in Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning settings in New Zealand.
Originally from Taiwan, I am passionate about supporting children's social and emotional development and helping them build confidence, curiosity, and positive relationships. I enjoy creating meaningful learning experiences that follow children's interests and celebrate each child's unique strengths.

My Philosophy

Inspired by Reggio Emilia, Te Whāriki, and social and emotional learning, I view children as competent learners who are naturally curious about the world around them and have 100 ways to express themselves. I believe learning happens through everyday experiences, exploration, conversations, problem-solving, creativity, and strong connections with others. My role as an educator is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel respected, capable, and valued.

My Environment

This is a welcoming small-group learning environment, with spaces designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and independent play. Children have access to a variety of open-ended resources, including art materials, loose parts, construction materials, sensory experiences, dramatic play resources, and nature-based materials. Activities are guided by children's interests and developmental needs.
We also enjoy exploring outdoors as well as our local community. We may visit local parks, libraries, nature reserves, and other child-friendly spaces that support learning through real-world experiences.

My Training

• Master of Education (First Class Honours), University of Auckland (Level 9 qualification)
• Bachelor of Education, National Taiwan Normal University
• New Zealand Practising Certificate (Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand)
• Taiwan Registered Teacher Certification
• Positive Discipline Parent Educator Certification
• Current First Aid Certificate and Police Vetted
