I’m Cath, and I live in Papakura with my husband and our young child in a warm and welcoming home. Becoming a parent has deepened my understanding of how important it is to provide a safe, loving space where children feel at home while learning and growing.
My passion for early childhood education comes from that experience. I’m excited to create a home based environment where tamariki feel supported, valued, and confident to explore the world around them.
I am available Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm.
I believe in creating a calm, positive, and home like environment where tamariki are free to learn, discover, and grow at their own pace. My role is to support and guide their learning journey with kindness, patience, and encouragement.
As both a parent and educator, I take a gentle, respectful approach. I value strong, open relationships with tamariki and their whānau, working together to build a space where each child feels secure, happy, and inspired to learn.
Our home is safe, welcoming, and set up to support learning through play. Each day includes fun, hands on activities such as music, stories, sensory exploration, and movement.
The outdoor area is fully fenced and includes a slide, swing, chalkboard, ride on cars, and water play. There is also a deck where children can run, enjoy the sunshine, and get creative with arts and crafts. Inside, I provide puzzles, blocks, musical instruments, a magnetic whiteboard, and a cosy reading corner, along with carefully selected toys for younger children.
I hold a current first aid certificate and am currently studying toward my Level 4 qualification in early childhood education and care.
