I have been a home-based educator for the past 3 years and I enjoy every second of it! I enjoy the little things in life - seeing smiles on little faces and spending time outdoors around nature. I am originally from South Africa so I really love summertime and animals. I also like being creative and baking up a storm!
I am available Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm.
I believe that children learn through play. I like providing opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine.
I believe that teaching children about cultural diversity is also important for them to understand and acknowledge differences.
Each child is an individual and their strengths, interests and skills should be valued and considered. Children should stay little for as long as possible - every moment is a learning opportunity, and it's a big bonus if you're having fun whilst doing it!
I live in Mosgiel, Dunedin.
At my home, we love spending time outdoors in the sandpit, riding on bikes and playing with water. On those 'not so nice days' we like playing in the playroom or the living room.
I hold the National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) and I have a current first-aid certificate.
