I have always had a passion for working alongside tamariki. I began relieving, working in holiday programmes and nannying. I gained my Bachelor of Teaching ECE in 2013 and currently have full registration with the NZ Teaching Council. I live with my three children and husband in Egmont Village.
I am available Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 4 pm.
I am inspired by nature and I enjoy spending time outside, exploring the natural world. My teaching philosophy is inspired by respectful practices, allowing tamariki to unfold and develop at a natural pace. Also by the early childhood curriculum, Te Whāriki, which supports and encourages bicultural practices and a holistic, relationship-focused practice.
I am based in Egmont Village in Taranaki.
I provide quality resources, found treasures and gifts of nature. I have a large backyard with gardens for play and exploration. I have chickens, guinea pigs, a rabbit and a friendly cat.
We take regular walks around my neighbourhood, to benefit from local community resources out and about in our local environment.
On a Tuesday, we are able to attend the local Egmont Village playgroup and on a Thursday we can enjoy the Inglewood Playcentre.
I have a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) qualification and I have a current Essential First-Aid certificate.
