"A Special Bond" TN_BrandIcons-06

Chonelle became our nanny in October 2013, when our son was nine months old, and remained with our family until April 2016. She would work from 8:30am to 5:30pm and stay later if emergencies arose. (Our son) has even stayed with her overnight when both my husband and I were out of town for business. She is a trustworthy, caring and responsible person who delighted our son.

Our son shares a special bond with Chonelle and would wait excitedly for her car to pull into the driveway on ‘Nell’ days. Chonelle found many opportunities for (him) to develop, including letting him bake cookies and cakes on Friday almost from day one. As a result, he will now eagerly pull up a stool to help us with cooking on weekends.

Chonelle is extremely safety conscious. She would regularly assess the hazards in the home and alert us to potential problems as (our son) developed. Before all outings, she would consider the risks and take appropriate steps to minimise them.

In addition to the childcare she provided, Chonelle would help with laundry and light cleaning and sometimes prepare an evening meal for our son. Among her strengths are punctuality, creativity and caring. It was a sad day when Chonelle left us but we felt it was time to transition (our son) to a group care environment. I am confident that Chonelle will always remain part of our lives. In fact, she currently collects (our son) early from childcare once a week so that my husband and I can go out for dinner.

I highly recommend Chonelle for a position as a nanny or educator. I know your children will love her as much as mine have.

"A Great Connection" TN_BrandIcons-02

We had Chonelle as an In-Home Educator from September 2015 to February 2018. From this time she was contracted to look after my then 9-month-old son, and had a casual contract with my then 3-year-old son.

Due to her residential circumstances, Chonelle's preference was to look after our children in our own home environment. For me, this was an advantage, as I believe that it is fundamental for children to be at home between the ages 0-3 years; during this important stage of rapid brain development.

Chonelle came into our home and very quickly learnt the routines, rules, and personalities of the household. Every day she offered different activities, outings and learning opportunities designed to stimulate the children; Music, Gym, Nature play, Toy Library, Play School, Parks and Lakes just to name a few, while keeping to their individual routines.

With Chonelle in our household, we got to know her and she got to know us on a more personal level. She had a great connection with both boys; I loved the way she mimicked my words when talking to them; it reinforced consistency within the home which helped form strong boundaries and respectable relationships.

One thing I have truly admired is Chonelle's work ethic. She is a very conscientious worker and takes her job very seriously. I am a nurse who does shift work, Chonelle's flexibility and reliability always impressed me; extra days, a change of shift, at a moment's notice; she was always able to to accommodate whatever I needed. Chonelle is a very organised person and I must comment that she has perfect punctuality.

Over the last couple of years, we have had the opportunity to open our home up to other children in Chonelle's care. We loved this experience as it brought forth the development of first friendships which taught important social skills paramount in the younger years.
