My Philosophy

Play-based learning is at the heart of my approach, where I follow the child's lead and support their natural curiosity and interests. By doing so, I believe we can create a learning environment that is engaging, meaningful, and tailored to their unique needs and abilities.

By doing so, I believe we can create a learning environment that is engaging, meaningful, and tailored to their unique needs and abilities. Building secure attachments between myself and the children in my care is also a top priority, as I believe these relationships are crucial for healthy development, fostering a sense of trust, security, and confidence.

Ultimately, I believe that children are born to learn and play, and by following their interests and passions, we can foster a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

My Environment

My learning environment is a peaceful and calming space, where children can feel comfortable and relaxed, free to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. We do a lot of messy play, outside adventures, and loose parts play as well as attending our local Playcentre a few days a week. We also use the local toy library to refresh the space every few weeks! By providing a relaxed and unrushed space, I aim to help children develop a sense of trust, confidence, and self-directed learning, as they navigate the world around them.
