With over 15 years of experience as a Home-Based Educator and Nanny, I’ve had the joy of caring for many wonderful children and working alongside their families. The strong, trusting relationships we’ve built over the years mean that many of those families still keep in touch today, a true testament to the connections we’ve created together.   ## Places We Like To Visit ## *Tiny Nation events* Pop-up playgroups Nature play locations Local beaches and parks ## My Availability I am available Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. ## Looking Ahead Having recently moved to the heart of Auckland City, Parnell, I’m looking forward to connecting with local whānau and exploring all that this community has to offer. I’m excited to welcome new tamariki into my care and continue providing a warm, respectful, and enriching home-based learning environment.   ## My Philosophy I celebrate the uniqueness of every tamaiti and provide a calm, safe, and nurturing environment that is both positive and stimulating. This allows each child to grow holistically and develop at their own pace.   My goal is to support children in becoming confident, independent learners who feel secure in their identity and show respect for others.    I’m guided by the Montessori philosophy, which encourages independence and a love of learning, and inspired by Pikler principles, where respectful relationships are at the heart of every interaction.   *“Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi.”* *With your food basket and my food basket, the people will thrive.*   ## My Environment My home reflects a well-prepared environment where children can choose materials and resources that support their learning and development. I try to limit the use of plastic resources and instead use natural, wooden, metal and recyclable materials, that have a range of purposes and that foster creativity and imagination. My whole family are keen gardeners and this is weaved into my programme where I follow the natural cycles and seasons of plants and fruit. I get children involved to learn about where our food comes from and how to care for the environment. We follow an organic philosophy in our outdoor setting. ## My Training I hold a New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Home-Based) and a current First Aid certificate. She has been everything and more for our family. The amount of love and attention she gives to our daughter when she is in her care is far beyond what I could have imagined. She is passionate, enthusiastic, caring, loving and so much more. She is our daughter's home away from home. Daphné is fantastic at communicating what they have done for the day, what's coming up or things she is doing well. Our daughter is thriving in her environment where she is safe and can be a child and have fun.
