Kia Ora, my names Elysia. I am a wife and a proud mum of 4 (ages ranging 1-11) I have always held a special passion with early years and having children of my own has only enhanced my interest and learnings.
I have spent years of being apart of playcentre and playcentre adult education which has been hugely beneficial for both myself and my children
I am available Monday- Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
My teaching philosophy aligns with the Tiny Nation teaching philosophy, where children flourish with secure attachments alongside a strong sense of belonging. I believe in embracing each child's individual learning journey by nurturing and caring for tamariki in their own uniqueness.
Our in-home learning environment is well equipped with a range of resources and play options. We have an outdoor mud kitchen, a small sandpit and little tikes play equipment. Crafts, play dough, pikelete making and rock painting are our favourite at home activities. We also have Bi-cultural resources including poi and ketes.
We attend Okato Playcentre Monday and Thursday's 9-1. Adventures into the community to our local skatepark/playground, community/school library. Okato domain, Stoney or kaihihi Rivers and bush walks.
-Current First Aid certificate -Playcentre PIA certificate -Playcentre PEA certificate - I am currently studying towards my New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care, Level 4.
