My Environment

My home has a large playroom that opens onto a safe, enclosed backyard. Beyond this, we have a large rural property with cows and chickens to feed, and a paved driveway for bike-play. Out and about, we will enjoy our local parks and bush walks, beaches and other excursions. My growing resource collection allows for (among others) potions, playdoh, block play, art sessions, dramatic play, and quiet snuggles on our reading couch. I also have a sensory snug where children can take themselves for some hut play or emotional regulation.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Jessamy work with our daughter, and she is someone I trust. Any child in her care would be very lucky.

Jessamy is highly qualified and highly experienced. She takes the time to understand each child, listens to parents, and adapts her approach to help tamariki thrive. In our experience, she is observant, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator, working with whānau and welcoming open conversations. She's creative and has a wonderful way of helping children feel safe and supported. I highly recommend her.

"Kind and Caring"

Jessamy was my son’s support person at his early childhood provider. I was so happy that he got her because she was amazing. She was so kind and caring towards him, and got to know him on a personal level, which allowed her to better care for him. When we moved away to a different part of Auckland, she made him a personalised book to help ease any anxiety, and he still gets it out sometimes, 3 1/2 years later! Any child would be lucky to have her look after them, and their parents should be assured their precious baby is in safe and wonderful hands.
