About Me

I am Mum to two beautiful daughters and I have lived in Bulls for 13 years. I have always gravitated towards children and decided to follow a home-based care path as a way to spend quality time with my own children whilst also pursuing an enjoyable career. Most of my families have become long-time friends and I still have contact with the children I have previously cared for.

My Availability

I am available Monday-Thursday, 8.30am-3pm (negotiable).

I have space on a Monday for an under or over-2-year-old and space Wednesday for an over-2-year-old.

My Philosophy

I teach children and provide a safe and secure attachment, in an environment that is an extension of their home.

I believe children learn and thrive in an environment where they're happy and are encouraged to be themselves, whilst playing alongside other children.

I gravitate towards the Montessori method, I like to encourage the children to self-direct and choose activities they prefer. I provide recourses and equipment that support child-led, independent play.

My Environment

I am based in Bulls. I live across the road from a park and swimming pool that we utilise.

At home, the children have resources that they can access independently. I have numerous mini tables and chairs for the children to do activities, both inside and outside. We have a play kitchen, pretend food, animals/dinosaurs, balls, baby dolls, arts and crafts, puzzles, books, toy trucks, wooden toys, train tracks/trains and a trampoline that has been modified for safety. We love to bake and experiment in the kitchen.

In the summer, I set up a gazebo where the children can play, do arts and crafts, chalk art, bubbles, water and sand play, swimming.

My Training

I hold the national certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4). I also have a current first-aid certificate.
