I have been an educator for over 33 years and have cherished every moment with the children and families in my care. I love watching children grow and learn as part of my team of young learners. I provide activities and experiences that support their individual interests, strengths, and development.
No two days are the same with children; they keep me on my toes, constantly bringing new ideas and ways to interact and play.
I’m passionate about nature and the outdoors, which is reflected in my approach. I encourage children to explore natural resources, spend time in my garden, and go on community walks to enjoy the beauty around us. I believe in helping children appreciate nature and teaching them how to care for the environment.
I am available Monday-Friday, 7.30am-4.30pm.
I current have 2 spaces for over and under 2's.
I support children's interests by observing and planning activities that nurture their strengths, individual needs, and the aspirations their families have for them. I believe every child is unique and should feel valued and important.
Emotional support is a key part of my approach. I dedicate time and attention to helping children navigate their emotions and guide them through their big feelings.
I provide a dynamic learning environment with a focus on exploration and community engagement. The children and I enjoy regular walks around the community, library visits and storytime, as well as bus and train rides. We frequently visit local playgrounds and organize playdates with other home educators.
At home, my garden brings joy as the children explore nature, while the outdoor play area encourages further discovery. I design activities and experiences based on the children's current interests and development.
We also have a friendly dog who has been around children since he was a puppy. He is gentle, loving, and brings so much happiness to our home-based learning environment.
I hold a National Certificate in Early Childcare (Level 4) and a current comprehensive first-aid certificate.
