I am a trained ECE teacher, and previously owned an early learning service in my native country of Fiji. I have taught children of all ages in my professional career, teaching in the primary sector and mentoring parents and teachers, alongside government departments.
I am an Aunty to my adorable nephews, and I live with my husband, who is a secondary teacher.
I am available:
Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5pm.
I have spaces for both under and over 2's.
I believe children need to be nurtured first to build relationships to become lifelong learners. As an educator, I believe in being responsive to individual children's needs and learning personalities, using a holistic approach. Creating routines, with a gentle approach and guiding children's individuality is important to me. The village concept of working alongside whanau/families is a strong belief of mine and a small intimate homebased setting creates these opportunities.
School readiness is a passion of mine, and believe that these first 5 years is a foundation for learning in the school environment and beyond. Our days will be balanced with play based activities and fun interactive school readiness moments, inspiring motivation and self belief to learn, be empowered to reach full learning potential.
I am located in Pakuranga, a suburban area, enroute to most motorway access to the city. My home is safe, warm and a modern home away from home setting. I have a separate playroom for learning activities and an outdoor area for a range of activities. I live close to safe, interactive local parks.
