Family Testimonials
"Feeling Connected"
After 2 years in a daycare setting, the opportunity arose for us to try out home-based care, and we couldn't be happier with how it is going. Within days we noticed a significant difference in our son's behavior. He was coming home tired but cheerful, rather than exhausted and overwhelmed, leading to more enjoyable evenings for the whole family. My initial concerns that my son would be under-stimulated in a home-based environment, with such a small group of children, were unfounded. He is now being exposed to a much wider variety of experiences and opportunities, and is participating in our local community, with regular outings to playgroups, the library, and even the local fire station! Maria's genuine interest in our child, combined with her creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching, helps me to let go of the 'mum guilt' when I send him off to daycare. The biggest difference for us is feeling connected to his daycare world. We now hear details of his day and the activities he has been involved in, so we can now celebrate his achievements and support him through challenges at home. We feel privileged to be part of Maria's Tiny Nation whānau. |
"Home Away From Home"
Maria has given our boy such a positive first ECE experience. Her environment is calm and feels like a home away from home. We love that he has lots of freedom to play and explore, alongside small groups of other children. Maria has taken the time to get to know our boy so well, right from the beginning. We love that she notices the little things and creates an environment where his interests and urges are fulfilled. There always seems to be a little bit of magic in each day and we love the regular updates and photos of what he has been up to. Maria has made the transition back to work so much easier for our busy whānau! We are excited to watch him grow and thrive in her care. |
