I'm Mum to three awesome kids, my twin girls are 8 and my son is 5. I love that the little ones we care for through Tiny Nation become part of our home and hearts for life.
I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00am-4pm.
I currently have space for under or over-2-year-old.
I'm all about creating a space that is loving and safe. Tamariki are encouraged to connect with nature and each other, to grow their independence and gain real-world skills at their own pace. Resources here are natural and open-ended to inspire their imaginations. I implement current research on brain development and attachment and the NZ ECE curriculum, Te Whāriki.
We have a big block of land with a cool forested gully. Our home is modern and warm with an open-plan living area and separate nap rooms. A large fully-fenced area flows naturally from inside so tamariki can explore freely, wherever their day takes them! We love doing puzzles and reading, baking and painting. We make Duplo towers and animal zoos. We get muddy and wet and dig in the sandpit. We play with Tiger the cat and Nibbles and Pumpkin the guinea pigs. We ride bikes, jump on the trampoline and swing off the monkey bars. We love going to gymnastics, playgroups and parks!
I have degrees in Psychology and Social Work and hold the NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care Level 4. I have a current First Aid certificate.
