About Me
I am a fully qualified and registered teacher (Kaiako) with experience in kindergarten and preschool settings. I am passionate about working with small groups, where children can thrive. I also have four tamariki of my own, aged 5 to 13 years.

My Philosophy
I believe tamariki are a taonga, each with their own unique interests and strengths. Children thrive in secure environments that nurture their social and emotional needs. My goal is to provide a supportive home environment where children can reach their full potential, develop their learning identity, share ideas, express creativity, and explore the world around them. I enjoy incorporating activities like baking, sensory experiences, nature and gardening, waiata, and active reading into my teaching.
My Environment
I live in Green Island, where my home offers seamless indoor and outdoor flow. Children can explore nature in the outdoor environment, listening to birdsong to calm their nervous systems as they play and learn. Inside, I create engaging pockets of experiences to inspire curiosity. We also participate in local community activities, including visits to the library, book bus, parks, and community groups.
