My Philosophy

We learn through play and explore in a safe, healthy and fun environment. My programme has a variety of learning activities to meet each child's interests and age. I place great importance on social interaction and warm, close relationships. I support and guide children's development physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. I believe that children flourish when they have a secure attachment and a strong sense of belonging, especially in their early years.

My Environment

I am based in Manurewa, Auckland. I am a 3 min drive from the Southern Motorway Hill Road off-ramp, close to Hill Park and the Botanical Gardens.

As well as enjoying activities and resources in the home, we love to learn out and about in the community. We learn and explore during educational outings to Auckland Zoo, Butterfly Creek, the beach, the Botanical Gardens and Kelly Taltons, at no additional cost.

I provide a safe, loving and homely environment. We have small, child-friendly and well-trained dogs. I have an approved responsible dog owner certificate. Our family pets are crated indoors and have a designated playpen outside. Interaction with animals is closely supervised and built into our routine to enrich learning. Our dogs do not roam during the day and are not present in children’s play, eating or sleeping spaces.

My Training

I hold the National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Levels 3 and 4), and a current first-aid certificate. I have attended additional development courses including Baby Cares, Talk to Me, Power of Relationship and Power of Play.
