About Me

I'm a proud mum to two beautiful girls who are my greatest joy and inspiration. Being a parent has deepened my passion for early childhood education and strengthened my understanding of how children grow and learn.

I have experience working in an ECE centre with children 0-5 years old, and I’ve since chosen to continue my journey in home-based care. I love the calm, nurturing environment it provides and the opportunity to build strong, meaningful relationships with each child and their family.

My Philosophy

I believe every child is unique and deserves the freedom to learn through their own interests, curiosity, and experiences. My role is to create a safe, caring, and engaging space where children feel confident to explore and express themselves.

I value strong relationships and open communication with families, as I believe working together helps children feel secure and supported. Through patience, encouragement, and genuine connection, I aim to nurture each child’s confidence, independence, and love for learning

My Environment

Outdoors, I offer a variety of fun and active play opportunities such as chalk drawing, water play, and plenty of ride-on options including bikes, trikes, scooters, and an EzyRoller. I’m also centrally located near several local parks, which allows for regular outdoor adventures and nature-based learning experiences.

Indoors, there’s plenty for children to discover and enjoy. I have puzzles, trains, and Duplo for creative building and problem-solving, along with pretend play areas such as a play kitchen and supermarket to encourage imagination and social play. Children can also explore musical instruments and express themselves through a range of arts and crafts activities.

My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and independence through play-based learning.

My Training

I have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3) and I have a refresher first-aid course in November.
