I have enjoyed being a home-based educator for 3 ½ years, I have been involved in Playcentre and I have 3 school-aged children of my own.

My Philosophy
I believe in giving children the ability to grow and build resilience through child-led, uninterrupted and outside play.
I enjoy gently encouraging children to push their boundaries, by providing opportunities for them to discover and build on individual interests. I offer children choice and independence, and I believe it is importance to help strengthen children's sense of belonging to their community.
My Environment
live in the beautiful, small community of Wyndham, in Southland. Our learning environment is inspired by my philosophy of child-led, outside play. Complimenting our indoor resources, we play outside a lot with the mud kitchen, play house, wooden tree stumps, water play, messy play, bikes and scooters. We also enjoy regular outings within our natural environment, to nature reserves, the river and parks.
My Training
I hold the National Certificate in Early Childhood (Level 4) and I hold a current first aid certificate.
