I've always enjoyed working with children - as a teenager doing volunteer work and as a children’s psychologist in my home country. I am a mum to 2 children and, here in New Zealand, I have enjoyed my time working as teacher aide in a local primary school.
I am available Monday and Friday 8.40am-3pm and Tuesday-Thursday 8.40am-5pm.
I currently have a space Monday-Friday, for an over-2-year-old. Also, a Monday space for an under or over-2-year-old.
Through my years of experience, I believe that with love, patience and play, children can reach their full potential and have a chance to be creative and develop many different interests and skills.
I love children, I’m inspired by their curiosity and endless potential. My philosophy is that children need to be listened to, cared for and encouraged to do things on their own, to create self-confidence and independence.
I live in Gore, Southland.
We have a 4 bedroom home, with 2 side yards. Children enjoy a playground area and have plenty of space to explore and play outside, in the garden and within an enclosed deck area.
We take every opportunity to incorporate community resources and learn from the world around us, with outings incorporated into our learning programme.
I have a psychology degree, a major in education, a diploma in preventing crime and violent behaviour in youth and a diploma in executive coaching. I also have a current first-aid certificate.
