I hold a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Early Childhood) and previously worked in preschool before raising my three children, including twins. I home-schooled my children for 2 years, which deepened my understanding of how children learn in different ways.
Though I haven’t worked in an ECE setting since 2016, my passion for quality early childhood education remains strong. I love nature, animals, and spending quality time with my family.
I am available from February 2026 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8am - 4pm.
I have space for children over-2-years-old.
I believe every child is a capable and unique learner who thrives in a calm, nurturing, and respectful environment. Inspired by Te Whāriki (ECE curriculum), I prioritise strong, trusting relationships with children and their families as the foundation for learning and wellbeing.
Play is at the heart of children’s learning. I enjoy offering natural resources and loose parts that spark curiosity and creativity, and I value unhurried routines that allow children the space to explore, make choices, and grow at their own pace.
As a teacher, I bring kindness, patience, and calmness to my practice. I aim to support the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively - while partnering with families to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and identity.
My home is a safe, welcoming, and fun place where children can explore and learn. Our lounge opens onto a large deck, and we have a secure backyard with swan plants and vegetable gardens, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and discovery.
I offer a variety of activities to support children’s creativity and curiosity, including arts and crafts, baking, and loose parts play. Our weeks also include trips and adventures in the community - walks, visits to the local library, parks and playgrounds, and Tiny Nation organised events, helping children connect with others and the world around them.
