I have worked in Early Childhood Education for many years. I have worked with special needs school children for a couple of years as well.
I love the smaller environments that come with home-based learning. It is easy for parents as they only have one person to communicate with. For the children, being in a small environment allows them to feel like it is their space and place. They are able to form close bonds with me and the other children.
We also get to be part of the children's community and enjoy getting out and about, learning about the world around them.
At this stage, I will not have space until further notice.
I believe in teaching children about treating things, the planet and people with kindness and respect. We try not to waste resources when making things and learn about recycling.
I believe in encouraging the children in my care to learn self-care skills as they grow, along with how to tidy up after finishing with things - ready for others, practising asking for turns, sharing and helping each other.
I have a large home in Silverstream, Upper Hutt with rooms that are primarily used and set up for children.
I have many resources, a lot of which are natural.
I have a Diploma in Early childhood Education. I also have a current first-aid certificate.
