About Me

I am a mum of two children under 5 years old. Originally from the Philippines, moved to New Zealand in 2017 and loving the life here with my husband and two children.

I enjoy nature trips such as going to the beach, hiking, bush walks, and going to the playgrounds. I love meeting new people with different backgrounds and learning their cultures, trying different food cuisines, and socialising (especially with other mums). I love being around children and babies, that lead me to pursue early childhood education.

My Philosophy

I believe that children learn best through experience, connecting to nature, outdoor play, and hands free exploration. I want to offer a space for children and parents that is safe, welcoming, and that encourages creativity. A secure and nurturing place where they can feel safe to be their unique self, build their confidence by following their learning interests, find their own strengths through exploration, while building a respectful relationship between teacher, children, and parents.

My Environment

I have a dedicated room as our playroom that has a wide variety of educational toys and tools for the children to play, explore, and learn. Resources that they can learn letters, numbers, animals, show their love for arts and crafts, vehicles, puzzles, blocks, and so much more. A backyard space where they can play in the sand, be free to write and draw on the chalkboard, pretend play in the house, and use the backyard fun slide. There is a 5 minute walk to our local playgrounds in our area - Observation Green Park and the Scott Point School Playground are some we enjoy to visit and explore.
